It's not necessary that be any political leader to celebrate a great tribute to one of the most significant men of the twentieth century. This was due to think Jay-Z rapper at a concert held on December 9 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, in Magna Carta World Tour, wanted to make a brief but moving tribute to the late South African president Nelson Mandela.
"We want to dedicate this song to Nelson Mandela… A great man… Spent 27 years in prison, came out to be President… All dreams are possible…". Jay-Z told concert goers while Madiba images were projected on a giant screen. "So anybody out there that got a dream, y’all chase that motherf-cker down as hard as you can… Let that great man stand as an example of what you can do.", kept saying the rapper while encouraging everyone to sing the song "Forever Young" to the rhythm of hip hop.
Jay-Z is one of the artists who wanted to give his small grain of sand to a great tribute and the many dedications to Nelson Mandela, including artists such as Alicia Keys, John Legend, Wyclef Jean and the poet and novelist Maya Angelou.
