Jackie Chan has confirmed in a press conference that will participate in the third installment of "The Expendables" and he will be the first of the actors confirmed what is already considered the "saga of retirees". You can imagine why.
Third time's the charm, or that's what they say. At least for the Chinese actor Jackie Chan has finally been able to make time in his schedule to participate in the third part of "The Expendables" accompanied by one of his friends in action films, Sylvester Stallone.
The conversation between the actor expert martial artist and the actor expert in muscle, had to be easier than we think and that Sylvester Stallone invited Jackie Chan to participate in the second part of the series but was not possible for incompatibilities of Chan.
At the press conference in Kuala Lumpur presenting his new film "Chinese Zodiac", Jackie Chan commented on Stallone's invitation: "Sly had invited me to participate in The Expendables 2, but I was busy shooting CZ12 and I could not commit to the film. But then extended his invitation for a third film, to which I agreed on condition that I should appear more often than a small supporting role".
Despite being one of the guests on the set, Jackie Chan has set conditions, as did Jean-Claude Van Damme in the second part, in order to accept the invitation of Stallone.
As the Chinese actor said goodbye to action films, Chan has asked Stallone that this film be more a comic story of colleagues that a pure action film, hard as we are accustomed. Something very strange seeing the two previous films where the comedy was not precisely the center of attention and there has been what have been gunshots, explosions, punches and all the action you can fit in a movie.
Sylvester Stallone, of course, accepted the principal of Chan condition besides the Chinese actor has a role in the film and not just a cameo.
So in the absence of confirmation of the previous team of "The Expendables 2" composed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Stathm, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Terry Crews and Randy Couture, it must be include some "dude" more in the gang. Shuffle names like Nicolas Cage, Harrison Ford or Clint Eastwood.
It is expected that the next installment is released in 2014 if any of them does not get injured before, that the years take their toll and most of them are not to give too many kicks.
